Sermon About Heaven: Place of eternal happiness.

Sermon About Heaven: Place of eternal happiness.

The Bible is the primary source of guidance. It is also a direct link to God and his communication with mankind. Therefore, people should take the teachings contained within the Bible seriously and follow them to the best of their ability. When applied, these life lessons have helped shape the good choices made by millions of people.

Along these same lines, Jesus reminds his followers that we are temporal beings who exist in a temporal world. There is a heavenly place

1. In this heavenly place, people find eternal happiness.

God arranged for man to dwell with Him (Gen. 3:8-9)
Man’s sin confounded that
God purposed to redeem man (Gen. 3:15; Heb. 2:10)
God set up a temporary dwelling place with man (Lev. 26:11-12)

Heaven offers a place of eternal bliss for those who have accepted God's gift of eternal life.
Heaven is described as a place of perfect peace and happiness. It is a realm free from physical pain and fullfillment.

2. Heaven Holds All To Me Colossians 1:5

This we know for sure:
Heaven is the place of God’s throne (Rev. 4:2)
Heaven is the Christian’s hope (Col. 1:5)
Heaven is our longed for home (Heb. 11:13-16)
Heaven is the end (outcome) of our faith (1 Peter 1:9)
Heaven is the reward of “job well done” (2 Tim. 4:6-8)

The peace found on high comes from knowing that your sins are forgiven and that you have accepted the love of your Creator.
The Bible describes heaven as a paradise where people find eternal happiness.

In the Christian Bible, Jesus say When He returns at the end of the age, He will judge individuals based on how well they have kept His commandments during their earthly lives. Those who have done well will ascend to heaven where they will find complete peace and happiness with God's Spirit within them.

3.  Heaven Fellowship With God (Rev. 21:1-8)

In Christ God has a new dwelling place (Eph. 2:19-22)
The ultimate place of dwelling (permanent) and fellowship with God (Rev. 21:3)
Sin and death no more (Rev. 21:4-8)
Nevertheless, we must, in the here and now, overcome sin through Jesus Christ in order to have fellowship with God (Rev. 21:7)

Heaven does offer eternal happiness- if one accepts God into his heart and follows His commandments throughout his life.

Heaven is like a great city filled with the glory of God (Rev. 21:10-11)
A city of:
Perfect security (Rev. 21:12)
Spacious, secure, beautiful (Rev. 21:15-21)
Nothing there to defile (Rev. 21:27a)
Our individual names must be “written in the Lamb’s Book of Life” (Rev. 21:27b)
Protection By God (Rev. 21:9-27)

Conclusion

The message of Jesus to his followers was that they should live good lives by loving others and loving God. He urged his followers not to be angry or slanderous. Instead, they should forgive.

Based on these ideas, living a good life involves modeling Christlike behavior by walking in accordance with Jesus' teachings outlined throughout the Bible. This would include loving others and loving God above all else; taking care of your body; and loving non-Christians and loved ones enough to always have everyone's back. Truly living a good life involves putting God first in every aspect of our existence; this is how we can truly understand ourselves, our place in the world and our salvation.
