Sermon About The judgment and eternal life

Sermon About The judgment and eternal life

Text: John 4:14 (NIV) but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

Jesus is the only one who can give us true freedom from sin. He alone has the power to forgive our sins.

Here Jesus is talking to the woman at the well in Samaria. He had just asked her for a drink of water;  Then He told her that He could give her living water that would give her eternal life.

So Jesus is the Living Water that brings us eternal life. Jesus is the living water that quenches our thirst for eternal life. He is also the source of all spiritual strength and hope.

1. The judgment and eternal life

The Bible tells us that at the end of the age there is going to be a judgment but The Bible says that we have been given life by God through his Son, Jesus Christ.

This means that we are not just saved by God’s mercy; we are also saved by God’ s righteousness. Because of what Jesus did on the cross, we no longer need to fear death or hell. Instead, we now live with eternal life.
  • Do You was too busy doing other things.  He never had time for Jesus?
  • Do You never read the Bible, never went to church or SS, never took time to pray?
  • Do You didn’t even believe in God?
  • Do You disobeyed God and broke His commandments.?
  • Do You committed a lot of sins and he never repented of his sins or asked for forgiveness?

2. Salvation or forgiveness;

It is freely offered to us.
If you believe in Jesus Christ as your Savior, then you will receive his gift of eternal life. You do not have to work hard at being good enough to deserve God’s love. It is freely given to those who trust in him.

The person heard the good news that Jesus died for his sins on the cross.
  • He believed in Jesus and trusted Him to be his Savior.
  • He said he was sorry for his sins and asked God to forgive him.
  • And he asked Jesus to come into his life and be his Savior.
  • He comes to churcht to learn about Jesus.
  • He reads the Bible and Bible stories so that God can teach him the way to live.
  • He takes time to pray and spend time with Jesus.
  • And every time he sins, he tells God he is sorry, and he asks God to forgive him.

When you accept Jesus as your Savior, He comes into your heart

3. So let’s see what happens to him in the judgment.

What makes the difference?  It’s that living water on the inside. It’s Jesus.
And he alone can save us from eternal damnation.

We believe in God because we see him at work in the world. We see his love for us reflected in the lives of those who follow him. We see his grace in the forgiveness of others. We see his compassion in the care he gives to the sick and suffering. We see his justice in the punishment of sinners. We see his holiness in the purity of his teachings. We see his wisdom in the beauty of creation. We see his truth in the words of Scripture.

When we invite Him into our heart and He forgives our sins, we can look forward to the judgment with confidence.

Those who trust Him will have eternal life rather than eternal death.  Does that sound good to you?
How many would like to have Jesus, the living water, in their hearts?

Why people believe in God? First, there is an innate desire within each human being to seek meaning and purpose in life.

We must repent of our sins and turn away from them.
