Sermon about Trusting God

Sermon about trusting God

However, trusting God includes putting your faith and trust in him. Trusting God can be difficult because you have to open yourself up to a new way of thinking. So, trusting God helps you become a more mature person and better able to understand your mission in life.

1. Trusting authority

Naaman has leprosy.A servant girl makes a recommendation. A king sends a letter to another king. A prophet gives a remedy. A servant becomes the voice of reason.

The little girl was a slave!!!!Gal. 6:10

On the authority of a slave gir. He went to the king. The king sent him to Israel. The king of Israel sent him to Elisha.

On the authority of a God’s spokesman..He got angry. He began to devise a different plan. He finally listened to his servant. Remember Prov. 3:5-7

The Heart of those who Die with Grace. Hebrews 11:6  But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Does He care about earthly things? Matthew 6:28 “And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.”

2. Trust Him

Trust is the very essence of faith; trust inthe God who is trustworthy. That God is able to do the impossible in our life when we simply trust Him and just do what He calls us to do in life. God's ways are higher than our ways. (Isaiah 55:8-9)

For this reason it is crucial thatwe continually put our trust in the Lord and allow Him to direct our steps in life. Nosituation is ever impossible for God and He is always able to perform miracles inour life.

Trust in God should free us from worry.  “Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8

When you trust God, you become more spiritually mature. You can do this by praying, reading the Bible and attending church. The peace and strength you get from trusting God can help your dificulties. Plus, you can use that strength to help others and make a difference in the world trpught of gospel.

If You don't trust God if you do things you shouldn't. In addition, don't trusting God can lead to you doing things that are sinful, such as committing adultery or practicing witchcraft.

Cares can be an obstruction to the gospel. Matthew 13:22

3. Trusting Lord

‘Trust in the Lord’ is a central theme in thePsalms.

Time and time again, God is theacknowledged as the source of all truesecurity and strength. This is contrasted with trust in chariots, horses, weapons, wealth or princes (Psalm 20:7; 118:8-9). What things do you oftentrust in that won’t ultimately fulfil you? (It might not be a chariot)

The bible is full of accounts of miracles that were performed by God. Someof these include:

  • - The walls of Jericho coming down (Joshua 6:1-20)
  • - Peter and the miraculous catch of fish (Luke 5:1-11)
  • - Jesus turning the water into wine. (John 2:1-11)
  • - Bread from heaven to feed the Children of Israel (Exodus Chapter 16)
