Sermon About Success With God

Sermon About Success With God 1 Corinthians 9:12-27

The pursuit of success is a universal desire, but true success finds its ultimate meaning when it is aligned with God's purpose for our lives. Today, we will explore a roadmap for success with God, as outlined in Scripture. This blueprint encompasses various aspects that help us not only achieve worldly success, but also spiritual prosperity.

I. A Righteous Life (Genesis 6:8-18)

Our journey begins with the story of Noah, a man who found favor in God's eyes due to his righteous life. Just as Noah's obedience brought him success in the form of salvation, our commitment to living righteously aligns us with God's will and paves the way for His blessings.

II. Faith in God (Hebrews 11:6)

Faith is the foundation of our success with God. Hebrews 11:6 reminds us that without faith, it is impossible to please God. A life of faith opens doors to the miraculous and demonstrates our trust in a God who rewards those who diligently seek Him.

III. Meditate on the Word of God (Joshua 1:8)

Success is nurtured through the meditation on God's Word. Joshua 1:8 emphasizes the importance of meditating on the Scriptures day and night. As we immerse ourselves in God's Word, it transforms our thinking, aligns our hearts with His truth, and equips us for victorious living.

IV. Prayer (Luke 18:1-8)

Prayer is our direct line of communication with God. Luke 18:1-8 teaches us the importance of persistent prayer. Just as the widow's persistence led to her success in gaining justice, our persistent prayers deepen our relationship with God and bring about His divine intervention.

V. Protect Yourself from Idols (1 John 5:21)

Idolatry distracts us from God's purpose for our lives. As we are admonished in 1 John 5:21, guarding ourselves from idols keeps our hearts focused on God alone, enabling us to attain true success in His eyes.

VI. Keep the Commandments (Matthew 19:17; John 14:15)

Obedience to God's commandments is a hallmark of success with God. In Matthew 19:17, Jesus encourages us to keep the commandments for eternal life. In John 14:15, Jesus emphasizes that our love for Him is demonstrated through obedience.

VII. Keep Yourself Pure (1 Timothy 5:22)

Holiness is integral to success in God's eyes. 1 Timothy 5:22 urges us to keep ourselves pure. A life marked by purity reflects our commitment to honoring God and positions us for greater spiritual blessings.

VIII. “Endure All Things” (v. 12)

Jesus, our example (1 Peter 2:21-24; 1 Cor. 11:1). We are to endure also. Yet, so many fail so easily. Remember Demas (2 Tim. 4:10).

Anyone who wants to succeed must understand that working hard is essential and must also make sacrifices. People who work hard can achieve anything they want in life.

A strong work ethic is necessary to succeed in any field.  Working hard is also necessary when pursuing a dream; it allows you to stay focused and takes the stress off of you. Essentially, working hard leads to success.

Conclusion:
Dear friends, true success is not measured by wealth, fame, or worldly achievements alone. Success with God encompasses righteousness, faith, meditation on His Word, prayer, avoidance of idols, obedience to His commandments, and maintaining purity. This blueprint for success ensures that we are aligned with God's divine plan for our lives.

May our pursuit of success be centered on glorifying God and advancing His kingdom. As we integrate these principles into our lives, we will discover a fulfillment and contentment that surpasses anything the world can offer. Let us commit to walking this path of success with God, allowing His guidance and blessings to shape our journey.
