Sermon About Blood Of Jesus - What Does It Mean?

Blood of Jesus is a term used by Christians to refer to the blood that flowed from the wounds in Christ’s side during his crucifixion. It is believed to contain the Holy Spirit, which was poured into him at the moment of his death.

The Blood of Jesus Is A Symbol Of Salvation.

In Christianity, the blood of Jesus is a symbol of salvation. This is because he shed his own blood as an offering for our sins. His sacrifice on the cross made it possible for us to receive forgiveness and eternal life through faith in Him.

Rm. 5:6-9; Col. 1:14; I Pet. 1:19; Rev. 1:5; 7:13-14

We cannot be literally washed in the Blood of Christ. But WE Are to be washed in the Blood of Christ. How is this accomplished? How is this possible?-

TheBlood of Christ was shed in His death-Jn. 19:33-34;Col. 2:11-13

The Blood Of Jesus Is For Our Sins.

The blood of Jesus is not just symbolic; it really does save us. If we believe in Christ, then He has died for us and paid the penalty for our sin. We can now ask God to forgive us and accept us into heaven.

Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, 15 and might free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives. 16 For assuredly He does not give help to angels, but He gives help to the descendant of Abraham. 17 Therefore, He had to be made like His brethren in all things, so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. 18 For since He Himself was tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted.

Jesus not only became a man by taking on flesh and blood, just like us, but He also suffered through all the things that we do too. He was born, and He learned things, and He felt pain, and He was tempted, and He died. The only thing that He didn’t do that we do do is sin – not because He couldn’t, but because He didn’t. He always made the right choice – the Godly choice. Hebrews 2:14-18

Now we’re starting to see the picture a little more clearly. Why use Jesus as our example? Because He was exactly like us, except where we choose self, He chose God. That’s why He gets bracelets that remind us to ask the question, “What would Jesus do?” instead of Him wearing a WWJD bracelet that asked, “What would Josh do?” See what I did there? Anyway…

You know what, though? There’s even more to it than that. Because someone will invariably say, “But Jesus was God in the flesh. Of course He didn’t sin. God can’t expect the same from us!” Oh, yes He can! And here’s why. You might want to fasten your seatbelts.

There’s no denying that Jesus was God in the flesh. John writes that, and so does the author of Hebrews. So how can God say that we could even come close to doing what Jesus did? When people make the argument I just told you about, what they’re really saying is, “Jesus is God, and I’m not. He took on flesh and blood, sure, but He’s still God. I’m just flesh and blood.”

Not only did He purchase it , He also buit IT-Mt. 16:18

The Perfect church is Lord’s church and the Lord’s church is the perfect church
